Oscar winning documentary on Marjoe Gortner, whose preacher parents had him out preaching at the age of four and officiating weddings at the age of five. A gifted mimick Marjoe was billed as the youngest ordained minister in the world. By his mid teens Marjoe took a break from the pulpit but returned in his 20's as a circuit ridding faith healer. Only Marjoe had lost his faith and invited a camera crew on his final tour to document the tricks of manipulation used by some charismatic preachers, and the role of money in the whole enterprise. For its time an important expose and still an intriguing watch. ***
