Confirmation (2016)

Straight forward HBO film about Anita Hill and the controversy at the heart of Clarence Thomas's senate confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court. Kerry Washington plays Hill, Wendell Pierce plays Thomas. Various recognizable character actors in kind of hooky makeup to look like prominent senators of the early 1990's, well that's its own reword. I tend to believe Hill because she did not seek out attention on this matter but was approached by senate investigators, and had told other people about the harassment she experienced when it was going on a decade earlier. ***
